"1991 called, they want their teenage angst back"-The Rocker
So close to takeoff time! Thought I would update one last time before i leave:)
The above is my comfy outfit from a day full of laying around, hanging with my girls, and doing my nails.
The first four pictures were taken by my friend. I am wearing: scarf from Forever 21, pants from New York and Company, moccasins that were thrifted, t-shirt from when I attended Catz at the Orpheum. The fifth photo is of a new way to tie a scarves that I was proud of learning how to do(scarf was a gift from one of my favorite people ever). The final picture is of my nails as they are right now. I've had a new obsession with my nails and creative new ways to do them differently. Up next: newsprint nails! DIY is my life...
P.S. Getting contacts tomorrow! Super excited. Kind of scared though! I have hidden behind my glasses for years now and I feel like life is going to look so different without them.
Ta-ta for now!

Preparing for quite a journey!
Heading out to NYC for the first time in my life! Actually, I am leaving on Tuesday at 4 in the morning. Still very exciting! Even though I am totally freaking out and feel like something is going to go wrong or I will forget something or I don't even know. I'm a worrier. So even though it is days away and I have the entire weekend to assemble all of my thoughts and items, I am still freaking out and rushing around and packing and unpacking and completely trashing my room. Seriously, it's a mess. On a side note: Summer is officially here!! Got out of school on Wed. and have been soaking it up in the best ways possible. Aka sleepovers with my favorites, hours on the beach, and the making of (deliciously mouthwatering) Rice Krispies bars. Anyway, this is the kickoff for my 'summer blog' that is on my summer bucket list so here's hoping it will turn out!
Ciao for now, though. I am off to pack some more!

P.S. The above pictures are things that are getting me through to NYC. Including me in my new red dress from Target, my janked up toenails, my latest obsession-the hippie skirt-from a vintage store downtown somewhere, my Target red dress again, some more items I am bringing to NYC(the shirt on the left from Forever 21, the pants from Charlotte Russe, the shirt on the right from Urban Outfitters), my dog Dingo, my mess of jewelry and the like, the travel tags we were given at the last meeting for the trip:), my fanny pack(from an estate sale), my scarf drawer, a few of my fave jewelry pieces, my (hard to see) outfit for the day(dress from H&M, shirt from garage sale, hat from my step mothers closet), and the shoes I am bringing with me(Minnetonka moccasins I snagged for cheap at a thrift store, Urban Outfitters sandals, Keds that I bought-at a thrifty price- for our schools production of The Damn Yankees and then later painted myself). All pictures taken by me!

A few of my most favorite things of all time
My little Bengal Isabell... Yea, she hates me... but I love her SO MUCH (Picture taken by me)
Rainy days- they just feel so poetic for some reason. Plus its the perfect excuse to wear a raincoat! (Picture taken by my wonderful father)
Flowers. The smell, the feel, the colors, the beauty. Receiving them from a significant other. All of the above make them truly wonderful. (Picture taken by me)
This shadow! It totally looks like a giraffe, right? (Picture taken by me, right before I went to the NeverShoutNever concert at the Mall of America!)
Once again, I cannot stress enough my love for my little Isabell (who is quite fat right now because the only activity she had all winter was eating and sleeping) who more than dislikes me.(Picture taken by my adorable younger sister)
So here I am, the second Monday back to school after spring break. Already going AWOL because I am sick:P On the bright side it gives me time to go over my history paper which turned out quite unsatisfactory. The drawback- Missing my boyfriend and being absent from musical practice. Also, hating myself because I know this could all have been avoided if I would have just stayed consistent with my shot. Ah, well. Nobody's perfect and perhaps I will learn from this.

Practice makes perfect!
Well. Here I am. My first post of many I am hoping! I have always loved reading blogs and viewing the world from a blogger perspective and for a long time I have wanted to give it a try for myself. So here is my attempt right out there for the world to see! I hope this doesn't go too terribly and that the things I say aren't too embarrassing. I am going to right off the bad admit of my eventual errors which I am sure will end up to be countless. I am working at it and maybe someday I will get it right. So, with that said and with no further adieu: welcome to my site, feel free to leave (nice or constructive) comments, and remember-"when in doubt, pinkie out!" (Yes, I did just quote from Spongebob. I am fairly certain it will not be the last time that this occurs. Actually, I will guarantee that it wont be the last time).
