Don't get too excited...

Wow sorry for my absence..I do believe that I am getting progressively lazier and lazier. I have holed myself up in my cave for the past week or so with lots of junk food and books. Read A Time for Dancing by Davida Wills Herwin, Monsoon Summer by Mitali Perkins, half of Inkspell by Cornelia Funke, part of The Host by Stephenie Meyer, and I am now in the midst of Emma by Jane Austen. All of the above I recommend. A time for dancing left me crying for hours though- you have been warned. Still an amazing read. Anyway the above pics are things that have been on my mind (including an outfit I threw together last minute because I felt guilty about not posting in a while). So from top to bottom: a color combo I absolutely adore in a mug of milk, peaches in vanilla froyo (yummm), my colorful closet, the view from my kitchen window, the outfit I threw together (dress H&M, shoes Forever 21). I love the dress from H&M because it is so easy to slip on when in a hurry with the advantage of still looking cute even though I just rushed out the door. The shoes are my go-to because they are the only heels I can successfully walk in without completely making a fool of myself. I will blog about my fear of heels eventually. The song of the day: Strong Enough by Sheryl Crow.

P.S. Sorry I am so unattractive in these pics. My mom isn't so good with the camera and it's just an ugly day for me. Hope I am forgiven.

The Curent

Been listening to the radio a lot lately. Mostly The Current (it is so deliciously alternative). This song is like my fave at the moment. Also, sorry I lied about my juicy post about crushes. Realized it would be a ton of work...Anyhoo summer school is done this Thursday!!! Then I immediately start drivers ed next week. It is my summer of work:/
Other things I have been up to:

Including purple lipstick, my sisters cupcakes, my sisters dress, my kitties, a trip to Marketfest and a walk to White Bear Lake, my dogs footprints on our dock, and my grandmothers superdelicioso beef soup.

P.S. Next post=clothing. Maybe.

When a hippy makes you pancakes? You eat them, dammit.

Super friggin hot outside! Intense heat warning that has been issued. Which is why I had to put on a pair of pants and traipse around outside for at least a wee bit today (tshirt from Target, necklaces from Tahiti when I went there a couple months back, pants from Forever 21, backpack from a thrift store, shoes from my mother's closet). Started wearing makeup again! Mostly because I have been inside these past couple days so the heat outside has had no opportunity to melt it all off. I absolutely adore lip color so I had a ton of fun with wearing it today. When I saw these pants in Forever 21 I knew they had to be mine. There were cuter patterns but this was the only one in my size. I settled but I still love them dearly:) UNTIL that night when the zipper got stuck and I literally had to be cut out of it. So I sewed a new one in and am happy with them again. The wide leg pant has always been a favorite of mine so I am ecstatic to see that they are predicted to be a big deal this season. I have always wanted a really good fitting pair of wide leg jeans. On my get list. Sister is finally back! So she took my pics for me today:) It was way too hot to be in the sun or even take more than a few steps away from our front door so they aren't as quality as I wish they were (apologies). Anyway. Tonight I am spending some quality time with my Kindle. Working on my next post, though! (mentally I am) and the topic: crushes. Juicy stuff. Get excited.
